Here’s another favorite song of mine that I think is very under appreciated: Flash of the Blade by Iron Maiden. Its off of the Powerslave album which I gues a lot of people don’t like? Which I don’t understand why, Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight, and Powerslave are on this album! Then again I heard this from Andy, who heard this from his drum teacher who doesn’t like Nicko McBrain, so I’ll take it with a grain of salt.
Just the way the song starts off gets me going. I love the urgency, the feel of the song. Again, this would be another Final Boss fight music. A lot of the music I like I think of in terms of scenes, or what pops into my head when I first hear it.
I just feel like no one ever mentions this song, or even likes it when they do when its so awesome. I should find more “obscure” metal songs to post…
